                   A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE TEMPORARY
                   CLOSURE OF PORTIONS OF VINE STREET, PALMETTO
                   STREET, MCCALLIE AVENUE, AND LINDSAY STREET
                   MORE PARTICULARLY DESCRIBED HEREIN ON
                   SUNDAY, APRIL 26, 1992 FROM 12:30 P.M. UNTIL
                   2:30 P.M. FOR THE "1992 MARCH OF DIMES
                   WALKAMERICA" SPONSORED BY THE MARCH OF DIMES
                   BIRTH DEFECTS FOUNDATION UNDER CERTAIN
                   CONDITIONS.
                  
                                                    
                  
                  
       	    	 BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
       CHATTANOOGA, TENNESSEE, That there be and is hereby authorized 
the
       temporary closing of Vine Street between Douglas Street and
       Palmetto Street, the temporary closing of the southbound lane of
       Palmetto Street between Vine Street and McCallie Avenue, the
       temporary closing of the two right hand traffic lanes of McCallie 

       Avenue between Palmetto Street and Lindsay Street, the temporary
       closing of the right hand traffic lane of Lindsay Street between
       McCallie Avenue and 11th Street/Warehouse Row on Sunday, April 
26,
       1992 from 12:30 p.m. until 2:30 p.m. for the presentation of 
"1992
       March of Dimes Walkamerica" under the sponsorship of the March of 

       Dimes Birth Defects Foundation provided that the sponsor shall 
set
       out traffic cones and warning signs in accordance with the 
traffic
       control plan attached hereto, and shall provide, at all times, an 

       access lane for fire and other emergency vehicles.
